I don’t think as a 6-going-on-7 year old I even knew what the seven wonders of the world were but when Ellie mentioned this being a good theme for her seventh birthday I was fully on board. We worked together to come up with an obstical course around the basement with events for each wonder and decided that the invitations should look like passports. Mama’s design skills were then put to good use to create the most realistic looking passport with ticket and all the information needed. I also made a large window sticker with the phrase “Turning 7 is wonderful” and illustrated all of the seven wonders into it. Her invites were talked about at school for months and she is still to this day referred to by one teacher as the “8th wonder of the world”!
